Subaru forester 2l diesel xs nav plus d 2009.Top of the range model with full leather seats,electric everything,double sunroof,satnav,reversing camera,dvd player,push button start-you name it.Everything in good working order.Long mot until mid November 2024 and low miles for a diesel at 79000.Car is in good overall condition with the odd scuff and some discolouring under the rear bodywork protection panels.Pretty sure if you can be bothered to remove these,the marking will mostly t cut out.Just put a new air filter on-not due,but the old one was a little grubby.last oil and general filters changed late 2022 and not due for service yet.New brake discs and pads last summer and the rear ones the year before.Plenty of power and more economical than the petrol models.I’ve owned the forester for two years after buying it with an immobiliser problem.A new main battery,key fob battery,earth lead replacements fixed the problem,although I bought a used ecu/full immobiliser/lock set expecting to need to fit it,but have had two years trouble free without needing it.Recently however,I’ve had occasional(and I mean occasional,not every day) issues-the car will start and run for a short period and then the immobiliser shuts it off.Not a big issue-holding the key fob against the start button usually does the trick,or there are two other ways of over riding it,I’m happy to pass on.Alternatively this is an independent Subaru specialist in the Birmingham area who I could recommend.I’d go this route myself,but I’ve now got a new car and tbh it’s a faf getting the car there,public transport back and the same on collection.Because of this,Im offering the car,with the ecu etc replacements at way below market value for this spec/mileage car.It can be test driven,and driven away-I just want any prospective buyer to know what they are getting.Low offers will be ignored,any… Continue reading...
