1978 Toyota FJ40Left hand drive.4.2 petrol.California car from new.One ownerI bought this a few months ago plan was to do a full restoration but I am finishing off one big job and now have another to do so decided to let it go as it will be towards the end of the year before I can make a start on it.Any rust you can see on the body is just surface rust only bad bit is on the 2 rear window side panels but 2 excellent second hand ones are included, all glass good, only one dent on the body on the passenger side front wing but that will pull out.Chassis all good.Engine starts on turn of the key and runs superb, I have a video of it running which I can forward to you, at the moment running off a fuel can but a brand new fuel tank is included just needs fitting.Gear box, 4 wheel drive and clutch all operate perfectly.Brakes are good but might just need going through as it has been standing for some time.The 2 front seats are new.Heavy duty rear roll cage fitted.I have just fitted a new starter motor, plugs and battery earth cable.The 4 road tyres are very good with loads of tread but one has a slow puncture could be just the valve I'll try to get that sorted, spare tyre is knackered.Overall this a is a great little FJ40, just fit the new fuel tank supplied and you can drive it down the road and restore the rest as you want to, it is not a basket case and a perfect candidate for restoration or you could use as is.Have all paperwork to UK register.Have a lot of other paperwork with it including original owners book, radio book etc.Can help… Continue reading...
