This is going to be a fairly intensive project. EJ20R/Factory manual is pretty rare on these, I kept finding autos when I was looking. My plan was to completely strip and rebuild/restore, paint it cashmere yellow and enjoy it but I’ve been out of work since November so this needs to go. I was traded this as as running car back in August 2023 - it wasn’t, far from it. Stevie wonder must have MOT’D it last. Check the MOT history it was sat in a garage for over 10 years before MOT last year. You can drive it away but would STRONGLY suggest trailering it. There isn’t a huge amount of paperwork with it, only what I’ve paid for pretty much. Engine WILL require rebuild as there is a tap coming from left bank and being a Subaru the head gaskets probably on its way out too but it does now run and drive. I have replaced the radiator and silicone pipe work (rad was rotten and pipe work had perished), cam belt/water pump (massively overdue, still on original belt) all 4 cam pulleys have been swapped for new genuine ones, intercooler and vac lines (Over £1000 in parts alone). It is in limp mode so is not boosting currently, haven’t got to the bottom of it but I believe it’s a dead boost solenoid from reading similar issues online. Exhaust/lower manifold will need work and there is a bit of welding needed in the radiator support. Photo attached, underneath is clean/undersealed and arch’s are really good for one of these. It idles terribly, there was a Chinese MAF on it when it arrived, again now swapped for a genuine which did improve it but I believe it’s the wrong one.
