Welcome to my listing for my 1999 facelift hilux surf.I have owned it for 3.5 years and I’m regretfully advertising it as I bought a large van & it’s just sitting here not moving.Over the past 3 years I have done the following2” pedders shock & spring lift kit.2” body lift kit.All new front & rear genuine bumpers.Pre facelift grille.Crystal sidelights.Timing belt.Steering rack.Recently didFront discs & pads.4 maxis bighorn tyres.New front drop linksTop suspension armsNew twin batteries & genuine twin battery loom fitted.Cv bootsLower ball jointsFull valetNew electric aerial mast 1 new add 4wd switch.Everything works on it, it’s never been used off-road or as a work vehicle, once pulled a car trailer with a shell on it & the odd skip run with a small trailer.When I bought it the paint on the drivers side, bonnet & roof were faded & the body kit had lost some paint so I had it all done so it’s now very fresh, I am always in the boot so had the spare wheel frame removed, holes welded up & filled over then rear hatch panel smoothed, I then sourced an original hilux spare wheel winch & mounted the spare underneath out of the way.Mileage is a mix of I’m & miles & I work it out at approx 172’000 miles.Engine is perfect, transmission, axles etc are all the same.I regularly grease the grease points & service it myself, all receipts included.Real world it does 24 mpg with my driving style, never been run on chip fat or anything like that.Chassis & body are rock solid with nothing but the factory coatings for protection so there’s not 2 layers of fresh under seal hiding anything, there is surface rust but nothing that’s needing attention with a welder ever.Bad points.My pup chewed a hole in… Continue reading...
