It is well-equipped and will easily be able to compete with modern cars in terms of luxury and finesse, and is a great alternative to almost any car from its class in period.  This is the final, and in our opinion, the best generation LS400, it has the same 4-litre V8 engine as before, but with a slight power increase to 290bhp with variable valve timing and an added 30 ft.lb of torque which when combined with the new 5-speed gearbox offered improved acceleration times and fuel economy. (0-60 in 6.3 secs and a limited 155MPH top speed).
