subaru impreza gc8 UK 2000.Basically used all my extra STi parts to put this thing back on the B-roads again where it belongs.JDM v2 sti engine (Ej20g) fully rebuilt 900 miles ago.Vf35 turboXSpower exhaust manifoldRefurbished standard injectors. Various orange silicone coolant/air hoses.Dry sponge air filter (MAF friendly, turbo noises are loud now!)All gaskets/seals used to rebuild are genuine subaru. pistons are forged STi items. heads were decked, valves re-lapped and new stem seals fitted. Since rebuld the engine has been run on wastegate pressure and serviced twice, its ready for some proper boost now! Gearbox is the JDM STi 5 speed (Ty752bcaa) with diff. So much more spritely than the uk ratios.No sloppy shift linkages as STi group N bushings are present.Full Turbo back Cobra exhaust, with sport cat in the down-pipe. She sounds like she should and is perfectly legal.900 mile old XXR 550's as are the Tyres (18x9.5) Genuine ABW arches to cover the wheels.Coilovers were purchased and fitted at the same time as all other works also.Subaru 4 pot brakes up front.Windscreen replaced last month due to a small crack and de-lamination, all good now. To summarise, good solid car (all the usual weak spots are awesome, i have no problem showing a potential buyer) looking for it's forever home, as much as it makes me smile like a kid, i've my v2 to finish and this is distracting me pretty good from doing so!Theres plenty of tinkering left to do, she is 20 odd years old afterall, but some insurance, Tax and fuel and you're away if you wish!Basically, i've done all the annoying expensive parts haha!Any questions get in touch, i am happy to take you out for a spin etc but will not be entertaining test pilots or any daft stuff i'm afraid, honest car looking for an… Continue reading...
