Toyota Celica For Sale

The time has come to sell my GT-Four. This car is well known in the community and has been through a few guises up to this point. Initially purchased by me in 2012 as a non running example with 100k km on the clocks.  It was flat bedded back home and initial inspection showed receipts from Japan (pre-import) for a lot of pretty special parts.  Since then it has done less than 4000 miles having spent most if it's time being turned into what you see here, building cars is my passion more than driving them, hence the lack of actual road time!  Things of note:As with all project cars this isn't fully finished, it drives really well now though, brakes are light and powerful, the cooling system will sit in traffic at 30deg ambient without issue, and it is really fun in the bends.  It doesn't exhibit the usual Celica traits of understeer and a 'dead' feel to the steering, it is very well balanced with a hint of oversteer.  This change is a result of suspension geometry changes, spring rates, and moving weight rewards on the chassis. The clutch is brutal, it is capable of taking over 600Nm of torque, but without a sprung center it is really hard to drive in traffic.  On the move it is glorious though. It has only been road mapped.  The map is conservative and runs 10psi of boost on spring, the ECU control is not set up yet for boost.  It drives very well regardless, but if the new owner wants to extract the most out of it, a day on the dyno would be required.  The story of it’s resurrection and subsequent guises can be found on retro rides here: https://forum.retro-rides.org/thread/123485/celica-st205-cooling-carbon-airbox There is also a lot of the build on YouTube here: https://www.youtube.com/@theroteengineer8346/videos… Continue reading...
