Toyota Hilux For Sale

 I’ve owned this truck since 2008. In 2011 it was taken of the road awaiting a flat bed conversion. It waited for several years. Then it became a bare chassis restoration project. The chassis itself was absolutely solid and required nothing more than blasting and repainting with internal rust proofing. The cab was also solid except for a hole in the sill - this was cut out and new metal welded in. Before the cab was refitted onto the chassis it was also blasted underneath and under seal applied.  The rear body has had a lot of thought put into the design. It can accommodate 2 Euro pallets side by side with no overhang (the overall length of the vehicle is slightly shorter than a standard Hilux). The tray and under-frame is aluminium alloy and is mounted onto the chassis using the original mounting points - the bolts and steel of the chassis are separated from the alloy with nylon sleeves to prevent electrolytic corrosion. The rear light carrier requires only two bolts undone to gain access to the electrics behind and without needing to disconnect the original loom. The rear number plate carrier swings out of the way to allow the spare wheel mechanism to be accessed. The storage boxes (custom made by Bawer) are unlocked with the same key that unlocks the fuel filler flap. The Lucas Swing Lift is modified to fold down when not in use. It was originally rated at 250kg - the machine being lifted in the pictures weighs 165kg. If I were keeping the truck I’d remove the swing lift - it takes up too much space and it’s heavy (80kg), but the new owner can decide.
