Toyota Hilux For Sale

Toyota Hilux Surf 3.0 diesel. Our car for 12 years (since April 2011). Totally reliable servant, but our horse has retired from events (and the trailer has been sold), so we don't need a 4x4 any more.Full history in our ownership (and previous history from import into the UK in 2007). 13 months MoT (valid until 19th Nov 2024). Passed MoT last week with some long standing advisories which can be studied online.Starts, runs and stops as it should. Mechanically good but the paintwork is dull in places. Bodywork has hedge brush scratches all round and the lacquer has worn away on the bonnet and roof. Small dent on NSR bumper corner. Virtually no rust on body (apart from around rear bumper joints - see photos).Interior good with original Toyota mats and additional waterproof floor trays for footwells and boot.New fully built AMC cylinder head fitted in July 2018 at 180k along with a new radiator, cam belt and genuine tensioner. (All Toyota 3.0 diesel cylinder heads will crack between the valves at circa 130-190k miles so beware buying an expensive shiny one where this hasn't been done). Auxilliary transmission oil cooler fitted to keep oil temps under control when towing on hot days. Accurate digital water temperature gauge fitted.Just had oil and (genuine Toyota) filter change along with general check up.     5 good BF Goodrich All-Terrain tyres. Recent new discs, brake pads, drums and shoes.  Everything works (even the electric aerial) except:Sunroof - this was never used and no longer functionsAir-con works but has squealing bearing so you turn it off pretty quicklyRev counter and time clock only work very intermittently (both bad contacts somewhere we assume) Central locking works with the key but not with the remote button (battery in the fob?)  The car comes with approx £500 worth of spare… Continue reading...
