1996 Toyota MR2 SW20 Anniversary Edition.Parked here in 2009 when delivery was taken of a Honda S2000 and moved for the first time this week.2.0 3S-GE engineT-Bar roofRevision 3 car in anniversary 'Lucerne' silver.Only 250 of these cars were made - this being numbered 72 in celebration of 10 years of production.The original steering wheel will be supplied with the car.Given a new battery and fuel the car (unsurprisingly) fired right up. It now starts and drives - but as you’d expect the brakes are tight and it goes without saying the tyres will need replacing. Some new parts will be included with the car which I had ready to fit. Quality discs & pads, missing triangular reflectors (known as 'toblerones') New ones have been ordered from Japan and should arrive any time. New genuine plugs.Absent from photographs but present are spare wheel, factory tool kit etc. The T-Bar bags and blinds are present. The plastic frunk cowl is present and undamaged.The car itself is remarkably straight, with unblemished arches and only very minor areas showing any sign of corrosion in the high impact areas. The years of dry storage have given some element of time warp.The seats are leather and the drivers seat has the expected bolster wear as you would expect.  There is a large folder of service history, bills etc with the car.The non - standard parts are:Exhaust (I believe mongoose)Momo Millennium alloy wheelsMomo steering wheelHID bulbsSony head unit and double din shelfFront adhesive plateFor reference car number 78 sold recently at the Bolesworth auction in September 2024 for £9200 and they are now appreciating quickly. A really nice light restoration project for someone.  Continue reading...
