Car enthusiasts around the world have been impacted by the tragic death of Paul Walker; star of the Fast and the Furious movie franchise, and all-round decent human being.
It's only natural to want to pay respects to such a loss, and automotive communities across the globe have been coming together to celebrate the life of Paul Walker. Thankfully, the UK automotive scene is no different.
Starting with an event on Facebook, the car community 'Royston Modified' decided it would be fitting to hold a cruise in Paul's honour. Over the past week or so this event has gained a huge amount of traction, and willing participants began flooding in.
Within a matter of days, the Facebook event had amassed over 15,000 individuals and car clubs from up and down the country. In light of this, it was decided a venue must be chosen to have the capabilities of handling such a large group of people.
Thankfully, Santa Pod Raceway have now stepped forward as a venue and have officially announced the "Paul Walker Tribute Day".
Santa Pod Raceway have listened to the calling for a serious memorial event and teamed up with the Royston modified car community and we’re pleased to announce the “Paul Walker Tribute Day” to be held on Saturday 18th January.
Details of exact events on the day are still ongoing, but I can't think of a better way to pay respects to such an influential icon within the automotive community. Of course, we already have our tickets for the day, and we hope to see you there too.
Entry tickets cost just £4 per person, 100% of which will be donated to Paul's charity Reach Out WorldWide.
