It's a slow day in the office today, and with the 'leaked' release of the first images of Subaru's new 2015 WRX, we thought we'd have a little fun.

You see, we're not overly impressed with the route Subaru has pursued in designing their new flagship marquee. Obviously I'm a massive Impreza fan, but this just does nothing for me.

I mean, c'mon Subaru - even Google thinks it looks like a Kia...!

After a quick Photoshop session, I'd say we've improved the looks tenfold. But then again, I am a little biased.

We've brought back the classic blue/gold livery, offset the wheels better, added an obligatory huge rear wing, and finished it off with an STi badge on the grille.

We can't work miracles, and haven't enough time for a complete front-end swap - but I think we're making progress. Are you listening, Subaru?

Has a decade in automotive design progressions led Subaru down the path of no return. Will they ever bring back the menacing looks to match the performance they were once so renowned for?

Here's hoping an official STi version will liven things up a bit. But if the track record of the Subaru BRZ is anything to go by, we'll be waiting quite a while yet...

  1. Looks wicked. Subaru defiantly need to do this

    • Thanks. We’ll probably have to wait for an STi version before seeing any worthwhile improvements though. That said, I doubt it’ll even make it over to the UK anyway.
